No personal information is required at this stage. Your reference number is the only identifier used; you will not be asked for your name, email or any other details.

You will work inside a small spreadsheet that behaves like Excel. Nine tasks appear one at a time. Every task is timed from the moment it appears until you submit it, and the following actions are recorded:

• 01Moving around the sheet and selecting cells
• 02Entering text into cells
• 03Writing formulas with cell references
• 04Copying a formula down a column
• 05Using a function to total a range
• 06Applying bold formatting
• 07Selecting an exact range
• 08Copying and pasting cells
• 09Undoing an entry

For each task, the time taken, the keyboard shortcuts you use and the mouse actions you use are logged. Each task is submitted once with Ctrl+Enter or the Submit task button; there are no retries, and no results are shown during or after the test. The test cannot be paused. Expected duration: 5–8 minutes.
